The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura has transferred a number of police officers in a bid to overcome security problems faced by the country at the moment.
In a letter issued on 22 January, 2018, the police boss mostly transferred officers who are at the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and those at the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
Among those reshuffled include SP Mafundo Emmanuel who has been moved from Maracha to Gulu as the new DPC and SP Oyese Faustine who has been posted as Maracha DPC from Gomba.
SP Kakaire Adam Mulondo who was in Adjumani has now gone to Kyankwanzi as DPC while SP Kanyesigye Jamal who has been undergoing a training course has been moved to Kiboga as DPC.
The others are; SP Odonga Tonny Anyaku who has been on training and is now the DPC for Katakwi district.
SP Syamutsangira Simon has been transferred to Adjumani as DPC while ASP Kazara Robert who was previously in Otuke has now been posted to Gomba as DPC.
ASP Turyaryomwe Edson, formerly in Moroto now goes to Otuke as DPC and ASP Buyinza Twaha from Kyankwanzi has been transferred to become DPC of Butebi.
According to the dispatch by the IGP, the changes take immediate effect.
