Youthful Prominent Kampala businessman Hamis Kiggundu, commonly known as Ham, has attributed his wealth to bank loans, which he says have helped him grow his businesses to developing a world class Stadium at Nakivubo.
Ham who was responding to critics disputing his potential in developing the stadium, said he borrowed the money which he using to put up the structure and that for long he has been thriving on loans to sustain his riches.
“The project costs shs174 billion and that’s a lot of money to be owned by any businessman, so basically as Ham Enterprises we borrowed from financial institutions to run this project,” he said.
The 33 year old tycoon further noted that after developing the stadium, he will hand it back to government since it is a public asset.
On several occasions, the young entrepreneur has been accused of receiving financial assistance from President Yoweri Museveni, and many of his business establishments like Ham Shopping Malls in Kampala have been linked to the First Family.
