Panga wielding goon tormenting residents of Sonde put out of action by Mukono Police.
Police on Tuesday morning shot dead 1 panga wielding burglar around Ssonde area.
Thugs attacked home of one Martin Emiru a Ministry of Works employee in Misindye Seeta at 03:00am armed with pangas,axes and sticks.
Through the neighbourhood watch whatsapp group the victim alerted the area police and friends. Police swung into action found 2 thugs already mobbed and shot the remaining 1 on spot while the rest took off. The unidentified body was taken to Mulago Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.
Among the recovered items are an axe,panga,national ID of one Nawanda Joseph, two phone,TV. and other house breaking implements.
Meanwhile, DPC Mukono Division ASP. Sseguya Rodgers said that an urgent security meeting attended by residents agreed to jointly crack down on thugs who come from other areas of the city to terrorize and break into their houses.
