Smile Telecom has come out to ensure its customers that it’s going nowhere and its services are still fully operational.
Recently, an article appeared in one of the local daily newspapers, purporting that the telecom company’s operations were shut down by Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
However, Smile Telecom Country Manager Mohamad Bader has refuted the claim thus describing it as incorrect and malicious.
“We categorically refute the information in this article as factually incorrect and malicious and wanted to affirm that our services are fully operational. Smile’s telecommunication licenses have not been revoked by the UCC,” noted Mr. Bader adding, “We will continue to offer excellent 4G LTE internet services across Uganda, whilst supporting you to enjoy true 4G LTE voice, data and SMS services,”
