Vipers Sports Club has on Friday appointed Eddie Butindo as the team’s Technical Development Manager(TDM).
The development comes in a bid to beef up the technical department as the club seeks to attain the targets of becoming a dominant force in local football.
Butindo was officially unveiled in a meeting presided over by club patron, Lawrence Mulindwa at St.Mary’s stadium.
The former coach comes with vast experience about Ugandan football and his expertise is expected to drive Vipers SC to greater heights.
Mr. Mulindwa is convinced Butindo will help give Vipers an identity and also help in nurturing young talent given his experience.
” We are proud to announce Mr. Eddie Butindo as the club technical development manager on a two year deal. His experience is unquestionable and therefore as Vipers SC we believe his appointment will yield a lot of fruits,” he said.
“Mr.Butindo has been very successful especially with youth football and thus his expertise will help us in grooming players,” the patron added.
Among the duties that Butindo will execute at Vipers will include; heading the technical department, supervising the different teams at Vipers SC including the junior teams plus creating the team’s identity.
In his acknowledgment speech, Butindo thanked the club administration for the opportunity and promised to deliver to his best ability.
” I’m honoured with the opportunity of working with such a great institution that is focused and determined to take Ugandan football to the next level.” he said before adding “I will work to my best ability to make sure we push Vipers SC to new heights.”
Butindo has vast experience having previously coached teams like SC Villa, Miracle FC and State House among others.
He is famously known for his great work with the Kampala Kids League that gave rise to several players.echnica
