Sports Club Villa Jogoo Salongo smiled to a 3-0 victory against lowly Masavu at the Fisheries Training Institute play ground on Tuesday.
A goal-less first half was followed by a galore of strikes in the subsequent half.
Team captain Bernard Muwanga led by example with the opener after 68 minutes.
Muwanga headed home from Martin Kizza’s curling corner.
Midfielder Abel Eturude then scored a beauty in the 74th minute.
He rounded off a forest of bodies from near the center half before slotting the ball past the Masavu goalie Ali Kiggundu.
With 9 minutes left on the clock, Yubu Bogere also headed home for the third goal on the day as hundreds of the traveling fans jubilated wildly.
The Jogoos thus secured their 9th victory of the season in 13 games as they extended the lead on the log to 5 points.
SC Villa Jogoo Salongo has 28 points from 13 games played.
The league takes a two weeks break for the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Championship.
Upon resumption, SC Villa Jogoo shall host Proline on 19th December 2017 in Masaka.
