Opposition kingpin Dr Kizza Besigye has put business at Namboole stadium at standstill as he made a grand entry at the FDC delegates conference on Friday.
Besigye arrived at 11.03 am to the sounds of a brass band and cheers. The four time presidential contender proved he was still popular in his party as his arrival brought proceedings to a standstill.
Besigye stepped down as FDC president on the back of a dismal performance in 2011 elections, and was replaced by former army commander Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.
It understood the FDC’s most known individual is backing Patrick Oboi Amuriat, a former MP against Mugisha Muntu, the incumbent.
