Recently, unidentified financial institution through its lawyers Katabarwa Herbert and Co. Advocates and Legal consultants issued a 14 day notice in New Vision newspaper demanding Prince Kiwewa Junju, the elder son of the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi to pay up his loan or face legal action.
“Please settle all your outstanding loan balances within 14 days from the day of publication of this notice or legal action will be taken against you to recover the full amount owed,” notice read in parts.
However, the law firm has made a u-turn to apologize to the prince after embarrassing him in public.
According to Katabarwa Herbert and Co. Advocates and Legal consultants, they erroneously included Prince Junju in the notice advert among those in default of their loan obligation.
They say the prince has no financial obligation to settle thus regretting the inconvenience caused.
“We deplore the oversight and literate that Prince Junju has no financial obligation to settle,” the clarification notice read.
