The Uganda Cranes edged Uganda Premier League reigning champions KCCA FC 2-0 in a practice match played at Mandela National Stadium Namboole on Wednesday evening.
Habib Kavuma scored in his own net in the 29th minute to give the Cranes a lead and second half substitute Derrick Nsibambi doubled the lead in the 81st minute of the game.
The Uganda Cranes Coach Moses Basena said after the game that practice match has helped him asses the ability of his players ahead of the last group E qualifier match against Congo Brazzaville on Sunday 12th November 2017 in Brazzaville.
“One practice match is equal to five training sessions , so this practice match has helped me at my technical team to as the players physically, mentally and psychologically ahead of our game against Congo” Said Basena
Team will conduct last training session on Thursday morning at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole 9 am before traveling to Brazzaville on Friday morning.
