NRM senior leaders belonging to the National Executive Council (NEC) have voted to support the controversial age limit bill.
The decision was reached on Friday during a meeting at State House Entebbe where the members exhaustively discussed matters pertinent and critical to the movement of the country.
According to NRM Communications Officer Rogers Mulindwa, the members resolved to enthusiastically join the majority of the party members to overwhelmingly support the bill for an act entitled thr constitutional amendment No. 2, 2017 which is being moved by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi.
NEC further called upon Ugandans to discuss the age limit issue in mutual respect and tolerence as well as in a peaceful and lawful manner.
This comes at a back drop when the party’s Central Executive Committee also voted to unanimously support the contentious bill.
