Makindye West MP Allan Sewanyana has visited a 17 year old student Muzafar Kamakya whose left hand was smashed into shreds by a police teargas canister last week in Makindye.
The legislator gave Kamakya shs1 million to help him in treatment.
According to police, Kamakya while on his way from school, he picked the teargas canister thinking it’s a toy and went with it at home and in the process as the student opened the canister, it exploded and blew all his hand into shreds.
Before the incident, there were running battles in Makindye Kulekaana stage as police dispersed crowds opposed to age limit lifting.
