As Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) intensifies preparations ahead of the Azam Uganda Premier League tie against SC Villa this Saturday, Paul Mucureezi won’t be fazed by the occasion.
The midfielder is upbeat KCCA FC can go to Masaka and upset their opponents like they have done in the past.
“We are working hard not to put up a mediocre performance on Saturday, we have the ability to play for a result and get it,”
Mucureezi knows a thing or two about scoring goals in big games, he grabbed the winner as KCCA FC defeated Villa 1-0 in Mityana in the 2014/2015 season. That strike won him the hearts of many.
Last season he scored the opener as the league holders defeated Villa 3-1 at the StarTimes Stadium.
He also grabbed the winner at Wankulukuku as KCCA FC saw off Express with a 1-0 win.
“I hope my display continues, I love scoring against them (Villa) I have done it twice and sure I can do it again on Saturday,”
Mucureezi has already scored once for KCCA FC this season with a superb header against BUL as the former came from a goal down to win 3-1 in Kakindu.
KCCA FC are fourth on the 16 team log with 10 points, managing two wins and four draws in the opening six games of the season.
