Little Hands Go Green stormed Kamuli, the district represented by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.
The green army which is working towards protecting and sustaining the use of the country’s green resources, went to Kamuli to popularise the planting of trees which is already a huge success in Kampala, Mukono, Wakiso, Mbarara and Masaka district.
The Green army under the leadership of social entrepreneur Joseph Masembe, has become a significant player in Uganda’s Environment Conservation. Their Organisation Little Hands Go Green, while working with children under 13 years old, have planted more than 50,000 trees in schools and the communities in four years.
On October 22, an army of children travelled to Kamuli District where they planted trees in three schools. The schools are;Kamuli Boys Boarding Primary School, Trinity Junior School and Canaan Junior School.
This was one of the activation drives as superstar children gear up for the biggest children’s even in Uganda, “Green Xmas Party” on 17th December 2017 at Kololo Airstrip.
