The Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) has defended the Chief of Defence Forces Gen. David Muhoozi and Rtd Maj Gen. Jim Muhwezi over age limit talk.
Over the weekend, statements purportedly by Gen Muhoozi and Gen. Muhwezi giving their views on the security situation created in the process of trying to remove the presidential age limit, was posted on Facebook and shared of various WhatsApp groups.
However, according to UPDF spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire, the statements being spread on social media in regard to the age limit and the recent unfortunate incident in Rukungiri Distict are untrue.
