President Yoweri Museveni has described the late Dr. Abel Rwendeire as a knowledgeable and useful scientist who was helping with modernising efforts to Uganda.
Dr. Rwendeire died on Thursday and he was the chairman Makerere University Visitation Committee which was appointed by Museveni to find out the root causes of endless strikes at the university as well as offer the solution to the problems.
Museveni said this while on a visit at the late Rwendeire ‘s home in Kyaliwajjala-Namugongo.
Museveni who commiserated with the deceased’s family, said Dr. Rwendeire was on Tuesday to present a report finding by the Makerere University Visitation committee and it was meant to be a cornerstone for reforming Uganda’s education.
