Religious leaders have earlier today prayed for Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga as well as all MPs in the 10th parliament following the ongoing chaos rotating around the contentious age limit bill which aims at scrapping the age limit to enable President Yoweri Museveni stand for president in 2021 even after clocking 75 years of age.
The religious leaders took a step to pray for the legislators in what they called ‘cleansing parliament’.
They petitioned Kadaga to handle the bill in a legit manner in order not to spark instability in the country.
Ever since, the age limit debate came into public, several religious leaders have been coming out to oppose the move citing that it is meant to serve one person’s interest at the expense of the majority.
