High Court of Criminal Division Judge Wilson Kwesiga has finally granted prime murder suspect Matthew Kanyamunyu bail.
This has been Kanyamunyu’s fourth attempt to request for bail of which the first three attempts were dismissed by judges Elizabeth Kabanda and Yasin Nyanzi.
In this successful bail application, Kanyamunyu grounded his application for bail for being his constitutional right and having spent months on remand minus a trial kicking off.
He has been granted a shs10 million cash bail and he is expected to return to court on November 6, 2017.
The Quantum Express Logistics boss is accused of shooting dead social worker Kenneth Akena in November last year around Lugogo.
Other suspects, his girlfriend Cynthia Muwangaria, his brother Joseph Kanyamunyu were earlier granted bail.
