Police in Kampala have earlier today arrested former FDC Presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye in ‘Kogikwatako’ demonstrations in Kampala.
Police intercepted Besigye from Mini price in Kampala where he had mobilized hundreds of youth to storm parliament and streets of Kampala protesting the amendment of ARTICLE 102b aiming at scrapping off the age limit which will allow his nemesis President Yoweri Museveni to stand in 2021 after clocking 75 years of age.
Besigye first refused to get out of his car as his supporters chanted his name as well as ‘togikwatako’ but police fired live bullets which dispersed off the crowd.
His car was towed to Central Police Station and Besigye whisked away in a police van.
