Since joining Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) in 2015, Jackson Nunda has been in out of the sickbay.
The midfielder’s attempts at a return have time and again been hampered by a nagging knee injury.
His last attempt was during the 2017 Total CAF Confederation Cup last two group stages against FUS Rabat and Club Africain.
Nunda was sidelined again until September 19, 2017 against Onduparaka in KCCA FC’s third 2017/2018 Azam Uganda Premier League.
Donning jersey eight, the lanky midfielder came off the bench to score a breathtaking beauty as KCCA FC won the tie 4-1.
“I hope I can stay injury free this season and give all I can to help the team achieve the dreams,” Nunda said on Sunday morning as the team geared up for the upcoming AUPL tie against URA on Wednesday.
“Playing football is my job, and being sidelined has been hectic, am not yet fully fit to the level I want to be but am on the right path. And am hoping to stay injury free for myself and the team,”
Nunda is part of coach Mike Mutebi’s team that boasts of creating midfielders in Allan Okello, Muzamir Mutyaba and Sadam Ibrahim Juma and Paul Mucureezi.
