President Yoweri Museveni last evening met US president Donald Trump.
Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni who are in America for the 72nd session of UN General Assembly, were treated to a dinner in New York by Trump.
“Janet and I thank US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania for hosting us, together with other heads of state, to dinner last evening in New York, as we wind up the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly,” President Museveni posted on social media.
It should be remembered that during the US presidential campaigns, Trump vowed to lock up Museveni and his colleague Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe for overstaying in power if he became president.
But ever since he stepped into White House, he has never embarked to fulfill the ‘promise’. It seems he changed his mind after realizing that the man has vision.
