On Tuesday Arua Municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Abiriga was treated to a serious beating by fellow legislator Bernard Atiku, the Ayivu County MP at the parliament premises after having a heated verbal exchange over differences in the West Nile and then slowly culminated to the contested age limit debate.
Seconds after swallowing some good punches, Abiriga asked for a bottle of water to cool off the heat.
Meanwhile, Atiku has said he was just replying Abiriga with the same behavior he was exercising since in Arua, the NRM yellow man pulled out a gun to deal with him.
“I just had to reply Abiriga with the same behaviour he was exercising. In Arua, he pulled an AK47 gun on me,” said Atiku.
However, Police has opened up a file for the MPs’ case.
