As Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) gear up for the third tie of the 2017/2008 Azam Uganda Premier League season, a lot will be at stake.
KCCA FC will be looking at registering their first win of the season against Onduparaka but also put up a spirited show for the fans who will throng the StarTimes Stadium on Tuesday.
This was revealed by the manager Mike Hillary Mutebi on Monday as the team prepared for their last training session.
“We expect to play well this time and win, it’s important we win tomorrow (Tuesday) so that we can put our house in order. We have lost four points on the road, we need to remedy the situation by winning tomorrow,”
The manager is also worried about the goal scoring crisis at the club with two league games and just a goal scored by Muzamir Mutyaba, a midfielder.
“The center forwards must start scoring, they have a responsibility to take away the chances that the midfielders create, but on top of creating chances, we also expect the midfielders score goals,”
That, though is not worrying the manager who guided the club to their maiden domestic double last season, he is as optimistic as always about the team going back where they belong.
“We have no worries because we are creating the chances, if we weren’t creating the chances, we would be worried, the sole responsibility goes to the center forwards, starting with our leading center forward, Derrick Nsibambi, Patrick Kaddu and others,”
Last season KCCA FC lost the first round tie 2-1 in Arua but bounced back with a commanding 7-0 victory at the StarTimes Stadium in the most watched game of the 2016/2017 season.
