Government has approved a loan for the construction of Kabaale International Airport.
In a meeting that took place on Friday, cabinet ministers approved the loan for the project which will be set up in Hoima District and it is aimed at facilitating the transportation of vital equipment to enable the production of oil by 2020.
“The project facilitate the transportation of vital equipment to enable production of Oil by 2020, in line with Government’s set target for the production of Oil,” said Frank Tumwebaze, Minister of ICT and National Guidance.
In the same meeting, ministers approved the Task Force to spearhead the Revival of a Uganda National Airline.
Meanwhile, they also authorized the Ministry of Local Government in Liaison with KCCA to formulate a comprehensive strategy for addressing the challenge of multiple taxation or over taxation of the informal Sector in respect to Public Service Vehicles (Taxis/Buses).
