The Azam Uganda Premier League through CEO Bernard Bainamani communicated disciplinary measures towards the person of Bright Stars head coach Fred Kajoba for alleged misconduct during his club’s goalless draw against Vipers at the Champions’ stadium in Mwererwe.
This was during the opening day of the season where Bright Stars played with 10 men for almost 80 minutes of the game.
According to a statement signed by Bainamani, coach Kajoba contravened Article 30(2) of the FUFA Competitions Rules 2017/18.
The aforementioned Article reads;
A participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of; violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behavior.’
Pursuant to article 30(8), Mr Fred Kajoba has been given a four match touchline ban for AUPL matches with immediate effect.
There is no chance to appeal. The touch line ban will involve games against Soana (away), Mbarara City (away), Kirinya Jinja SS (home) and UPDF (away).
Bright Stars is sponsored by Fero Mobile and Lato Milk.
