Uganda Cranes has improved by two positions in the latest FIFA World Football rankings.
The new rankings were released on Thursday in Zurich, Switzerland.
Uganda has moved from 73rd to 71st with 486 points.
The rise is attributed to the 1-0 victory over Egypt in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier last month at Namboole in Kampala.
So far Uganda still maintains the helm among CECAFA countries which include Kenya (88th), Rwanda (118th), Tanzania (125th) and Sudan (134th).
Others are Burundi (129th), Ethiopia (144th), South Sudan (150th), Djibouti (185th).
Meanwhile, Eritrea and Somalia are joint tailed on 206th with no point at all.
