Police has spoken out on the woman who was killed and body dumped in the bush behind rental houses along Kampala-Entebbe Highway on Sunday.
This deceased is the eighth woman to be killed in Entebbe by unknown murderers.
According to Police Spokesperson Asan Kasingye, police visited the scene of crime and in preliminary investigations they discovered that the woman was mentally ill and known by people in the area.
“She could have died from lack of food and collapsed dead at night. She has been feeding on leftovers from dustbins in the area,” stated Kasingye.
“Preliminary reports show death by natural causes. The body had no signs of sexual assault or strangulation,” he added.
Apparently, the deceased’s body is in Mulago Hospital for post-mortem.
Kasingye further requested the general public to ignore alarmist fake reports spreading especially on social media regarding the case.
