Justice Wilson Kwesiga, the head of Criminal Division has today conducted normal court sessions at the High Court in Kampala despite the ongoing strike by judges and magistrates.
To him it is business as usual unlike for other judges.
Following an extra ordinary general meeting by the judges and magistrates under their umbrella body, the Uganda Judicial Officers Association (UJOA) on Tuesday this week, they resolved to lay down their tools today on Friday after government’s failure to solve their grievances.
Now, Justice Kwesiga risks to be deregistered from the association since as per directive all judicial officers who fail to abide by the industrial action rules are to be kicked out.
