After setting ablaze a tractor which was trying to ‘illegally’ level a piece of land belonging to his wife, veteran army serviceman Brigadier Kasirye Ggwanga was summoned last week to record a statement but he was too hesitant to do so saying that he had no case to answer.
He further, warned all those planning to grab his family land that burning the grader was just a tip of an icerberg- vowing to shoot them all in case they re-attempt to play foolery on the land in question.
However, on Monday Brig. Ggwanga was checked in by officers from the army and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (CID) at Military Police headquarters in Makindye and he recorded a statement after being charged with malicious damage of property.
After thorough interrogation, the one star general was released on police bond.
Vicent Ssekate, the CID spokesman said Brig. Ggwanga is expected to return to Military Police Makindye on Monday next week.
