Earlier today, Kampala Capital City enforcement officers chased after a woman who was vending bananas and she fell into a ditch thus losing her life instantly.
The incident happened at Nakivubo Channel around Mukwano.
They simply looked in the poor lifeless woman and drove off which act annoyed fellow vendors and boda boda riders. They opted to carry the dead body to City Hall which resulted to a heavy deployment.
Live bullets, teargas rocked as the mob tried to call KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi out of City Hall to come and eat the killed woman.
Hours after the incident, KCCA management released a statement expressing how ‘sorry’ they are.
It reads;
Kampala Capital City Authority has this afternoon learnt of the sad death of a lady (yet to be identified) that happened at Nakivubo Channel around Mukwano.
At the time of the incident, it is alleged that there was a vehicle belonging to KCCA at the Jinja Road Traffic Junction.
KCCA has forwarded the matter to Uganda Police for investigation.
KCCA extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
