Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party members have today been denied access to 56 people who were arrested on Wednesday in Kyadondo East and they are currently detained at Nalufenya Police facility.
Police spokesperson, Asan Kasingye, said 24 suspects were arrested from the area MP Robert Kyagulanyi’s home village, Magere.
14 of them were picked from St Kizito Kiri, 13 from Gayaza and 5 from Mabutaka, Nangabo Sub County.
They are currently detained at Nalufenya Police Station are on charges of holding unlawful assembly.
Today, FDC members including Ingrid Turinawe, Apollo Kantinti among others visited Nalufenya but they were denied access into the facility.
“We have been denied access to Nalufenya. We have been chased from the gates,” Ingrid Posted on her social media.
