Two youth have been arrested today by police after being caught red handed burning T-shirts bearing President Yoweri Museveni’s photo in protest against the lifting of the controversial age limit.
The youth led by Robinson Wabulembo allegedly belonging to Jobless brotherhood were seen along Luwum Street setting the t-shirts in question on fire in the middle of the road as they chanted and shouted “Museveni must go. His time is over and no one should tamper with the Constitution.”
The OC Wilson Road police post, Ituuza Nduhura said the two have been arrested for causing commotion in the city and disrupting other people’s businesses. They are to be transferred to Central Police Station from where they will reportedly record statements.
