Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) has lifted the suspension of its Human Resource Manager Barbara Kyomugisha.
According to a letter issued to Kyomugisha on 29June, 2017, the human resource manager was suspended on 6 June, 2017 for a maximum of four weeks pending investigation into allegations of causing the inconsistencies in UBC PAYROLL and thus loss of financial resources to UBC.
“Although the disciplinary investigation into the allegations made against you is still ongoing, the Investigating Officer (Auditor), has determined that there is no need to suggest that your suspension should continue,” stated the Managing Director Solomon Kalibwanyi Musoke.
“I am therefore pleased to inform you that your period of suspension has been lifted with immediate effect and you should return to work on the next working day after receipt of this letter,”He added.
Musoke further advised Kyomugisha to keep providing required information to the investigations team to enable the investigation come to an end within the shortest time possible.
Meanwhile, the national broadcaster management has announced a major restructuring to give the corporation an appropriate staff reshuffle.
