Residents of Namuli Zone, Najjanankumbi in Makindye Municipality were left in shock after a man hacked his father to death using an axe.
Izido Matovu 32, hacked his father Charles Kirabo 80, to death after spending a while warning to kill him.
After killing him, Matovu went ahead to call neighbours to come and evidence how he had killed his father.
The late has been living with his two sons including Matovu and a daughter and by the time the ruthless incident happened Matovu’s siblings had gone for work.
The murderer was immediately arrested and rushed to Katwe Police Station then the deceased’s body was taken to Mulago Mortuary for postmortem.
Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima confirmed the incident. He said Matovu will be taken for a mental checkup to confirm his stability.
