Morrison Rwakakamba, the former Presidential Special Assistant on Research and Information who resigned from the position on 18 April, 2017 has indeed proved that he has got a patriotic heart after begging to return the May salary which was given to him yet he had already resigned.
n the letter written to the secretary of the President, Rwakakamba wondered why they paid him despite having officially resigned. He asked for the details of the President’s Office account to return the money amounting to sh1,743,382.
“On Wednesday, May 31 2017, my account at Housing Finance Bank Ltd …was credited with salary amount of Uganda Shillings 1,743,382,” wrote Rwakakamba to his former employers at the Office of the President.
“From the moment I handed in my resignation I cease to be an employee and also ceased to hold the portfolios indicated above within the meaning of Article 252 of the constitution,”
