Kyambogo University lecturers have gone on strike over unpaid salaries & allowances amounting to shs3 billion for the months January to April.
Lecturers have resolved to resume their duties after all their arrears are cleared.
In a press briefing, the university’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Elly Katunguka said the university has failed to access funds from government hence the delay in payments. The university’s top management had promised to pay the salaries last Friday.
