The First Ladies of Rwanda and Kenya spent their Sunday promoting peace.
The jolly women, met in Kigali Rwanda where they took part in the Kigali Peace marathon.
Margaret Kenyatta and Jeannette Kagame were part of the only marathon in the world that promotes peace both in Rwanda and across borders.
First Lady Margaret led a team of 517 Kenyan athletes for the Kigali International Peace Marathon who dominated all competitive races.
Margaret and her host Jeanette ran a symbolic and none competitive 7-km special “run for peace.
A total of 5879 athletes from 43 countries took part in the event that started and ended at the Amahoro National Stadium.
The winners of the marathon now in its 13th consecutive year, received moderator awards.
