Today afternoon, Oxfam Executive Director Winnie Byanyima has arrived in the country from United States ahead of her father’s burial which is slated on Sunday in Ruti Mbarara District.
Mzee Boniface Byanyima died on Tuesday at the age of 97years after battling with some sickness.
Winnie Byanyima who is also a wife to former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye jetted in the country a few hours after the late’s body was taken to Uganda Funeral Service House of Rest in Bukoto.
On arrival Byanyima went straight to the mortuary to pay have a glance on her late father’s body as she mourns him.
Earlier today, Mzee Byanyima’s body was Taken to parliament so that dignitaries and the public pay tribute to the fallen statesman.
