Nakawa Municipality MP Michael Kabaziguruka has come out to clarify on the torture issue at Nalufenya detention centre saying the reports are true.
Apparently Police is in the middle of crossroads after being implicated in severe torturing of murder suspects of former Police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
Kabaziguruka who was recently granted bail after being charged with treason is one of the victims who tested the wrath on ‘torturing masters’ at the controversial Nalufenya.
While talking to NBS TV today morning, Kabaziguruka said the torture reports about Nalufenya are true; and that he has interacted with some people who have been tortured citing that Nalufenya has group cells; if you are badly tortured, they isolate you and casually treat your wounds be4 going to court.
” The torture reports about Nalufenya are true; I have interacted with some people who have been tortured. Nalufenya has group cells; if you are badly tortured, they isolate you and casually treat your wounds be4 going to court,” He said.
“While at Nalufenya, I was denied medical access. They couldn’t even allow a doctor to visit me. I didn’t witness people being tortured at Nalufenya because I was in an isolated cell but I witness torture in Kireka,” Added Kabaziguruka.
The MP further asserted that while at Nalufenya he was not physically tortured but he was psychologically tormented.
