It seems the Democratic Party (DP) woes are far from over.
After party members described themselves as Good and Bad DP, the salient war between the two rival factions has now escalated to a new twist.
Apparently MPs on a DP ticket who are against the leadership of President Norbert Mao have asked the principal Accountant of parliament to stop the monthly remittances of shs2.5 million to the DP Parliamentary caucus and DP from their emoluments with immediate effect.
According to letter dated 10 May, 2017, the MPs advise the Principal Accountant of parliament to instead remit shs400,000 monthly from their emoluments to undisclosed bank account number.
