On Day one of President Museveni’s three day state visit to oil rich Qatar, we understand that the Ugandan leader has struck a deal with the Amir to cooperate with Uganda in the areas of defence, foreign affairs, investments and agriculture.
However observers say, Qatar, which was made wealth by utilizing its oil wealth, should offer the visitor more practical advice on managing oil wealth.
Museveni’s official twitter handle @KagutaMuseveni said on Wednesday that he “Held fruitful bilateral discussions that climaxed with our countries signing memoranda of understanding for cooperation in key four areas.”
The Ugandan leader travelled with his wife Janet and Foreign Affairs minister Sam Kuteesa to Doha on a three day state visit to Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar.
