Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa, is to spend six months behind bars in Luzira Prison, after failure to pay Shs100m that he owes a one John Baptist Maali.
Munyagwa was arrested and taken to court by Alpha Court Bailiffs and was sent to Luzira by Florence Nassuna, the registrar in court’s execution division.
Munyagwa’s troubles stem from failure to hand over vacant possession to Maali, a piece of land in Kawempe that he sold to him 2015.
Munyagwa neither vacated the land nor transferred the title into Maali’s names.
