Bonita Birungi Lubega 18, daughter to city businessman Drake Lubega was murdered by unidentified thugs as she returned home in Kololo during the weekend.
According to a family source, The iron bar hit men laid an ambushed and clobbered the youthful senior six vacist of Green Hill Academy off a boda-boda- living her lifeless and making away with her handbag that had money, a mobile phone and her documents.
The ruthless murderers went ahead to use the deceased’s phone to alert her family to pick the body from Mulago Mortuary.
This murder comes at the moment when a country is overwhelmed by insecurity and in the past few months alot of people including high profile government officials have been killed by unknown assailants.
Drake Lubega is one of the wealthiest businessmen in Uganda and his investment vehicle is called Jesco Industries Limited (JIL). Drake is the majority shareholder. The company was incorporated on 7 October 2005. JIL owns and controls buildings and parcels of land in Uganda’s capital city of Kampala and in areas outside that city.
