Suspended Makerere University Researcher Dr. Stella Nyanzi on Monday evening was arrested by plain clothed police officers.
At first, her home in Kyanja was first surrounded by armed uniform military policemen and later another group of plain clothed police officers raided Nyanzi, arrested and whisked her away in a white salon car number plate UAW 103R.
She was dropped to CID Headquarters for interrogation and one of the interrogators was identified as D/ASP Bill Ndyamuhaki.
“My three pre-teen children returned home from school this evening to find armed uniformed military policemen in our three-bedroomed flat in Kyanja. Rhoda, the house-help was kneeling on the floor of the sitting room and sniffing,” Nyanzi stated.
“Meanwhile, another group of un-uniformed hitmen driving a white salon car of number plate UAW 103R are seriously training one of our family cars in which I was transported to CID headquarters for interrogation. One of my interrogators called D/ASP Bill Ndyamuhaki has been identified among them,” She added.
Of recent Nyanzi has been making headlines because of her vicious Facebook posts against the First Family and some government officials whom she accuses of exploiting Uganda at the expense of poor civilians.
Last week, she was suspended from Makerere University over her illicit and abusive language against fellow university staff and government officials.
