Minster for Ethics and Integrity, Fr. Simon Lokodo has asked embattled Makerere University Dr. Stella Nyanzi to come out publicly and apologize to First Lady Janet Museveni following her recent insults against Janet.
Last week while appearing on NTV, Janet forgave Nyanzi for her misconduct and she said she didn’t know where the academic researcher was getting all her anger from to abuse her like that.
While appearing on NBS TV’s Morning Breeze show, Fr. Lokodo said Stella Nyanzi is a child and the First Lady did a motherly act of forgiving this child in wrong but Nyanzi has refused to respond to the forgiveness in a polite manner.
According to the Minister, forgiveness means reciprocal action. A person forgiven must acknowledge his/her mistake.
“If Stella Nyanzi is to come out and apologize publicly, that would change a lot,” said Lokodo.
He said Nyanzi’s apology will help a lot citing that she should further tell the world that what she did was not the right thing to do and nobody should so it if he or she wants to live comfortably.
