After a successful escape from Police’s roadblocks to Ngora district today, former presidential candidate Dr.Kizza Besigye managed to blindfold all officers on duty who had vowed not to give him a way through to celebrate a belated International Women’s Day organized by FDC party.
Besigye arrived in Ngora unnoticed at the home of Mzee Philip Ekemu where he laid wreaths at the final resting places of Philip Ekemu and son Charles Ekemu.
From there Besigye went to Ngora town to address residents but in the due course police led by Asuman Mugenyi intercepted and started dispersing the crowds with purple teargas.
