Chess life academy has organized a chess competition for the junior category where over 200 players from around Uganda shall be attracted
According to the chairman organizing committee and the director of chess life academy Mr. John Vianney Mukalazi, this is a good platform to help the generation of tomorrow.
”I know there is no kid who shall go home without experience. So this is a good platform for them to be exposed” Vianney elucidates. He adds that many parents sit on the talent of the children which would have helped them may be to pay the school fees in terms of bursaries.
It is on this not that he advised parents not to look at the UGX20000 as a big sum but to look at the future of their children.
Mr. Mukalazi says that the competition shall be in categories of under 12, under 10 under 8 and is scheduled for 18th and 19th March 2017 at Jevine hotel Lubaga.
A token of registration fee of UGX20,000 has been put in place to cater for the players expenses as well as other uncertainties.
According to the organizers, the top three will go home with a gold silver and bronze medals, and the winner in every category will go with a trophy as well as every participant will going home with a certificate.
The winners will have a specialized training at Chess Life Academy premises.
Some of the expected players to watch are Masiko Mathew,Nzire keon,Muhumuza jethro as well as Nzire Kreg.
This is one of the activities of the chess federation that emphasizes development of the young talent.
