Uganda Revenue Authority’s tax katale campaign is still on going in Nyendo Masaka district which involves door to door tax education to the traders.
Ian Rumanyika, the Manager Public and Corporate Affairs in URA says that this campaign is going to take three days of educating traders about taxes and about how to pay them.
“Engaging with our esteemed tax payers gives us the opportunity to know the problems they are facing with URA and we get to discuss the solutions that can solve the problems,” Rumanyika said.
This campaign started yesterday on Thursday and will end tomorrow on Saturday 11 march.
He added that Masaka business persons are encouraged to embrace proper record keeping and business registration.
Masaka District domestic taxes office covers Masaka, Kalangala, Lwengo, Rakai, Sembabule, Bukomansimbi and Kalungu districts.
