Court of Appeal has today delivered its ruling on election appeal and has acquitted Lwengo Woman MP Cissy Namujju whose election was nullified by Masaka High Court over lack of requisite academic papers.
Namujju had filed an election appeal challenging nullification her election.
Masaka High Court’s Justice Margaret Tibulya found Namujju guilty of forgery and presentation of false documents, and directed the electoral commission to conduct fresh elections in Lwengo.
However, Court of Appeal has found no required evidence thus reinstating Namujju as Lwengo Woman MP.
