Kampala minister Beti Kamya has summoned Jennifer Musisi, the Kampala Capital City Authority executive director, over distancing City Hall from the move to evict vendors from the Parkyard market.
Ms Kamya told NTV Fourth Estate show that she called Musisi to clarify why she told newspapers that KCCA was not part of the evicting force.
Kamya acting as minister for Kampala says Nakivubo management asked her to help them evict vendors at the market. She was helped by Police and Kiboko squad. However Kamya says KCCA wasn’t excluded from the eviction plans.
Businessman Ham Kiggundu is the owner of the shops that are surrounding Nakibubo and he says he will build a better stadium if allowed to set up his business. Ham says Nakivubo gave him a green light to develop the stadium to an agreed plan.
