Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed popularly known as “Farmajo” has won the election to become the next Somalia president.
Farmajo, a Somali-American from Buffalo, was sworn in as new president of Somalia immediately after the election in Mogadishu.
Outgoing Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud conceded defeat to his former Prime Minister, who begins a four year term for the presidency of the country still challenged with terrorists called Al Shabab.
Farmajo, born in 1962 in Mogadishu, Somalia) is a Somali diplomat, professor and politician. He is the founder and Secretary-General of the Tayo Political Party.
